Suspect arrested after verbal altercation led to shooting in Duson

DUSON, La (ENN) — Police are investigating a shooting in Duson on Tuesday afternoon that left one person injured, and a suspect in custody.

Lafayette Parish sheriff deputies were dispatched to a shooting in a trailer park located on La Rue Biarritz in Duson on Tuesday afternoon. Authorities said they received the call after the shooting incident had already concluded.

A verbal altercation between 2 males led to the shooting. One victim was injured and is being treated for their injuries. The victim was able to identify a suspect, and the suspect is now in custody.

Sheriff deputies and SWAT were on scene.
