I-10 shutdown in Duson due to “major crash involving an 18-wheeler fire,” officials say

DUSON, La. (ENN) — I-10 Westbound at mile marker 92 (near Duson/Mire exit) is closed due to a major crash, officials say.

“I-10 WB 92mm is closed while Mire Firefighters work a major crash involving an 18wheeler on fire,” stated Mire Vol. Fire Department in a post on Facebook. “Duson Fire is assisting.”

Louisiana State Police is also on scene and says that an 18-wheeler and a Ford F-150 is involved in the crash and that both vehicles, as a result of the crash, are fully engulfed in flames.

Duson Police Department and Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office are on scene, as well.
