53-year-old man killed in crash in St. Landry Parish

ARNAUDVILLE, La. (ENN) - State Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening on LA Hwy 93 near Grand Lake Drive in Arnaudville.

Kevin Meche, 53, of Arnaudville, died in the crash, police say. Meche was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado south on LA Hwy 93 when, for reasons still under investigation, the Chevrolet veered off the roadway to the right, entered a ditch, and continued to travel south before re-entering the roadway and overturning multiple times. 

Meche was restrained, however, he sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
